TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.

FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
